TELUS launches AI platform matching experts to GenAI models

BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA — Digital customer experience solutions provider TELUS International (TELUS) has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) platform that matches human expertise with Generative AI (GenAI) models.
Experts Engine is TELUS’ brand new AI tool that can be supplemented with GenAI tasks such as data creation, collection, annotation, and validation. It can be programmed according to the demands and requirements of a specific task.
After this, the Experts Engine “algorithmically matches the tasks to be performed to the best qualified individuals and assigns the correct quality control workflows.”
The problem of over-allocation, which drives up costs and creates inefficiency, is eliminated as the system guarantees that the right contributors are working on the right tasks at all given times.
Experts Engine is part of TELUS’ AI Data Platform, which includes task execution software and project and people management tools. Its foundation is a proprietary machine learning model that profiles the skillsets of more than one million TELUS’ AI community contributors.
“GenAI is continuously enriched today with evolving training data using new sources, human-tuned datasets, model evaluation and reinforcement learning techniques,” said Siddharth Mall, vice president, Product for TELUS International AI Data Solutions.
“This training data is paramount in defining the quality, alignment and safety of models, which is why we have enhanced our homegrown AI Data Platform with Experts Engine to address more complex and customized dataset requirements,” he explained.
Mall added that Experts Engine will help solve their clients’ continuous problems when moving up to scale with business operations. Through Experts Engine, the speed and efficiency of AI systems can work seamlessly with human quality and reliability.
