USITC shows interest in Fiji’s outsourcing industry

SUVA, FIJI — The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) is eyeing to explore business collaborations with Fiji, mainly through the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector.
Members of the USITC recently met with Outsource Fiji, an outsourcing and investing council, as part of their study around investment and trade between the U.S. and the Pacific.
Fiji’s outsourcing industry primarily comprises clients and businesses from Australia and New Zealand. According to Outsource Fiji Executive Director Sagufta Janif, the industry wants to expand into the U.S. market.
In recent years, Fiji has emerged as one of the most promising BPO destinations, with clients increasingly turning to the island nation for their outsourcing needs.
