Wipro acquires SAP firm Rizing

Indian multinational corporation Wipro announced the acquisition of global SAP consulting firm Rizing Intermediate Holdings for $540 million.
In a statement, Wipro said that the acquisition will significantly expand its breadth of capabilities in helping businesses transform into intelligent enterprises.
It will also allow Wipro to build SAP consulting capabilities bringing strategic consulting capabilities in large SAP transformation engagements, as well as strengthen Wipro’s presence in SAP-focused verticals like retail & consumer goods, energy, and utilities.
Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte said that “Rizing’s complementary consulting capabilities and strong client relationships will significantly boost our existing offering, creating one of the most differentiated SAP services in the marketplace…”
Rizing is the latest in Wipro’s acquisitions spree that highlights the company’s ambitious growth agenda.
The United States-based firm will become a critical extension of Wipro’s SAP Cloud practice and Wipro FullStride Cloud Services.
Upon completion of the acquisition, Rizing will operate as a Wipro company under the leadership of Rizing CEO Mike Maiolo.
The deal will be subjected to regulatory approvals and is expected to close before June 30, 2022.
