Recruitment firm Work Simplr raises $60k pre-seed

COLORADO, UNITED STATES — Staffing and recruiting firm Work Simplr recently raised $60,000 in a pre-seed round, according to Crunchbase.
Work Simplr is a workforce platform for students searching for employment opportunities and firms looking for staff.
The firm offers a diverse range of project work, spanning from online research and data entry/cleansing to user acceptance testing and sales lead generation, providing great opportunities for job-seeking students.
Through the platform, students no longer have to queue in lines, endure tedious interviews, or accomplish complicated paperwork.
Work Simplr utilizes algorithms to ensure that students are vetted and placed quickly in job openings or projects that fit their skill sets and interests. The platform also monitors the project’s progress and ensures timely payment delivery.
The Colorado-based firm aims to bridge the gap between students seeking real-world experience and skill development and organizations in need of an on-demand workforce for repetitive, mission-critical tasks.
Work Simplr, founded in 2020, was previously known as UPSKLS. In 2022, upon its acquisition of United Kingdom-based staffing firm Work Simplr Ltd, UPSKLS changed its name to Work Simplr.
Founders Jodi McPherson and Leah Jewell are former Pearson executives with over 45 years of combined experience in the education industry.
