34 countries participate in spirit of Wipro run
This year’s Spirit of Wipro (SOW) Run, which aims to bring about progressive change in society, brought together 110 cities across 34 countries. According to Abidali Z Neemuchwala, CEO and managing director at Wipro Limited, this year’s #FurtherTogether theme aimed to inspire everyone to go the extra mile and remind them that anyone can achieve anything if they put their mind to it. The CEO added that the run celebrates the collective spirit of Wiproites worldwide and the firm appreciates their contributions to social causes around the world.
According to Saurabh Govil, president and chief human resources officer at Wipro Limited, the SOW Run celebrates the people of Wipro, showing to the world what the spirit of togetherness and genuine collaboration can achieve. Every year the proceeds of the run go to social causes identified by the SOW Run locations around the world. The funds raised globally are matched 100% by Wipro Limited and are allocated by Wipro Cares, Wipro Limited’s community initiatives arm.
