BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM — British recruitment and talent solutions company Sanderson has acquired Nicoll Curtin’s operations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Serbia, Singapore and the Philippines.
The combined business will support customers through service centers in Serbia and the Philippines.
Growth in Singapore and Ireland
Sanderson announced the deal on Oct. 1, calling it an important step in its international growth strategy, according to a Sanderson announcement.
The acquisition strengthens its presence in key growth markets, including Singapore and Ireland, and extends its footprint across Europe and Asia.
Sanderson said it will scale further in Singapore and Ireland and expand into additional European markets, including Switzerland.
Nicoll Curtin brings established client relationships, specialist expertise in technology and change, and a strong contractor and candidate community, the company said.
“This is an exciting and strategically important acquisition for Sanderson,” said Jon Ball, Sanderson’s CEO.
“Bringing these businesses together strengthens our global reach, broadens the opportunities we can offer clients, candidates, contractors and colleagues and supports our long-term ambition to continue growing as an independent, international business,” he said.
A partner for Nicoll Curtin’s next chapter
Neil Clark, CEO of Nicoll Curtin, said the firm has spent more than 25 years partnering with organizations and professionals across Europe and Asia.
“Joining forces with Sanderson gives us an exciting opportunity to build on that strong foundation, combining our specialist expertise and established markets with Sanderson’s technology, systems and talent solutions,” Clark said.
For clients, the deal creates access to a broader international platform and a wider suite of recruitment and enterprise talent solutions, Sanderson said.
Sanderson offers permanent and contract recruitment, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), managed service programs and executive search.
Candidates and contractors gain access to a wider range of opportunities across multiple markets, while staff join a larger, more internationally connected business, the company said.
The companies did not disclose financial terms.
For employers, the deal pairs U.K. and European recruitment with offshore service centers, so one partner can cover hiring and support work across several time zones.
Buyers using a staffing agency for technology hiring should ask how accounts, contractors and service levels move to the new owner.
Firms weighing Philippine delivery can compare options among the top 40 BPO companies in the Philippines.
