Unisys named a leader and star performer by Everest Group

- Everest Group named Unisys a Leader in its 2026 North America assessment.
- Unisys moved up from Major Contender in 2025.
- Unisys is one of four Star Performers in the report.
- The report evaluated 29 digital workplace services providers.
PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES — Unisys has moved up to the Leader tier of Everest Group’s 2026 assessment of digital workplace services providers in North America, a year after it was rated a Major Contender. The technology company was also one of four providers named Star Performers for the greatest year-over-year improvement in the market.
From contender to leader
Everest Group evaluated 29 leading digital workplace services providers across North America on market impact, vision and capability, Unisys said in an announcement on Oct. 8. Market impact reflects market adoption and delivered value, while vision and capability measure the scope of services and innovation.
The research firm attributed the advance to the company’s AI-enabled smart workplace tools, an experience-led approach to employee support and a differentiated field-services model. Unisys said the recognition also reflects its strength in regulated industries, IT ecosystem partnerships and transparent client engagement.
“Organizations today need digital workplace experiences that drive productivity, engagement and connection across the workforce,” said Patrycja Sobera, senior vice president and general manager of Digital Workplace Solutions at Unisys.
What Everest singled out
Strengths cited in the report include a proprietary Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) Dashboard, which monitors device health and usage to improve the availability of meeting rooms, and the XLA 3.0 framework, which combines persona-based insights, workplace analytics and business outcome measurements. Everest also pointed to field services that extend beyond traditional on-site support, such as AR-assisted technicians and liquid cooling for data centers.
Prabhneet Kaur, practice director at Everest Group, said the company’s “experience-led approach to workplace transformation reinforced by its XLA 3.0 framework,” together with its field services portfolio and focus on frontline workers, earned it the Leader position. “Clients also value Unisys for its strong engagement approach, transparency and commitment,” Kaur said.
Everest Group states that no organization pays a fee to be featured in its PEAK Matrix reports or to influence its rankings.
What buyers should take from it
For enterprises, a provider’s climb in an analyst ranking is a starting point for due diligence, not a substitute for it. Buyers comparing IT managed services contracts for end-user support can ask how experience measures such as those in the XLA framework are tracked alongside service-level targets, and how device monitoring changes ticket volumes.
Firms planning a wider digital transformation of employee support can compare providers on the top BPO companies worldwide list.
