Humanly buys CareerArc to link recruitment marketing and AI hiring

- Humanly acquired CareerArc, announced Oct. 14.
- CareerArc’s tools include HireSocial and Job Maps.
- Humanly screens and interviews candidates 24/7 across chat, phone and video.
- World Flight Services already uses both companies’ products.
WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES — AI recruiting platform Humanly has acquired CareerArc, a recruitment marketing technology company, to cover high-volume hiring from a job seeker’s first contact to a new hire’s first shift.
The deal brings tools for reaching candidates and tools for screening and interviewing them under one company.
What each side brings
CareerArc helps employers reach, engage and convert job seekers.
Bellevue, Washington-based Humanly announced the acquisition in a press release on Oct. 14.
Its portfolio includes HireSocial, a social recruiting platform built for talent acquisition teams, and Job Maps, an interactive career-site experience that helps candidates discover openings by location.
Humanly engages, screens and interviews candidates 24/7 across chat, phone and video.
Its platform is designed to move high-volume applicants through the hiring process with greater speed and consistency.
“High volume employers have had to piece together their hiring process with a collection of disconnected tools such as job boards to find candidates, software to process applications, and agencies to fill the gaps,” said Prem Kumar, Humanly’s chief executive officer and co-founder.
“CareerArc allows us to reach candidates earlier,” Kumar said.
A shared customer’s view
World Flight Services already uses both products.
“CareerArc helps us reach and attract candidates, while Humanly helps us engage and move those candidates through the hiring process,” said Jason Leath, vice president of talent acquisition at World Flight Services.
“Bringing those capabilities together makes a lot of sense for organizations like ours that are hiring at scale,” he said.
Connecting the funnel
Humanly’s platform already brings candidate engagement, screening, interviewing, scheduling and recruiting workflows together.
Humanly said the deal advances its goal of helping employers keep an always-on supply of qualified candidates so critical roles stay filled and operations keep running.
“Recruiting technology has historically been built around individual steps in the funnel,” Kumar said.
“We see an opportunity to connect those steps and help employers move from finding candidates to filling roles with far less friction,” he added.
What employers should ask
For high-volume employers, the deal folds candidate sourcing and screening into one vendor, gaps that Kumar said employers have filled with agencies.
Companies that use recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) for frontline hiring can ask how artificial intelligence (AI) screening hands candidates to human recruiters and how drop-off is measured.
They can compare providers on the top AI outsourcing companies list.
