NTT’s Dimension Data acquires Millennium 1 Solutions
Dimension Data Holdings, wholly owned by Japan’s NTT Group, has acquired the Canadian business process outsourcing (BPO) firm Millennium 1 Solutions for an undisclosed amount. Millennium, which provides contact center, credit card, and back office and administration solutions to Canadian organizations, has an offshore facility in Manila. Millennium is headquartered in Toronto and employs more than 2,100 staff across five locations in Canada. It offers multi-lingual capabilities (English, French, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish) across voice, email and other digital platforms, as well as IVR services for clients. According to an official statement by the company, Millennium will become part of a new holding company, the Merchants Group, which will also include the South Africa-headquartered Merchants business, which designs, builds and operates contact centers across the globe. The new Merchant’s Group will in turn become a unit of Dimension Data’s CX and Digital Workplace business and will employ more than 7,600 full-time staff worldwide. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
