12 contestants vie to be crowned BPO Tourism Queen 2019
The grand coronation of BPO Tourism Queen of the year for 2019 is scheduled take place on 25 October at Tanghalang Pasigueño. In total, candidates from 12 different business process outsourcing (BPO) firms in the Metro Manila region will vie for the coveted title in the only event of its kind dedicated to celebrating transgender employees – Abby Akmad (TELUS international Philippines); Ashley Cruz (Teleperformance); Edssy Villanueva (TELUS International Philippines); Camilla Dela Torre (Infocom Technologies Inc.); Jhana Reyes (Inspiro Relia Inc.); Julia Beatrice Juliano (TELUS); Julia Sevilla (24-7 Intouch); Nikie Arevalo (Sterling Global); Jennylyn Galvan (Inspiro); Pia Nepomuceno (TSA Group); Pia Recto (24-7 Intouch and Sophie Vela (Teleperformance).
According to Katherine Portugal, the managing director of BPO Tourism Queen, the pageant aims to promote camaraderie among local BPO firms and their employees, while also supporting transgender rights within the sector.
