Wipro opens cybersecurity center In Australia

IT, consulting, and business process services company Wipro announced that it has opened its NextGen Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) in Melbourne, Australia. The CDC launch will allow Wipro to make substantial investments to upskill its workers, add more local resources, and create over 100 jobs for cybersecurity experts in Melbourne, the company said. The firm will also open more CDCs in other Australian cities and provide cyber resilience and digital protection to large government institutions.
The first local shared security operations center for Wipro in Australia aims to give customers the ability to quickly expand capacity and run their security operations in compliance with the local data requirements, Wipro said. It will also aid customers in managing cyber risks by using managed services around threat intelligence, security monitoring and analytics, vulnerability management, incident response, and regulatory compliance. Manoj Nagpaul, senior vice president and head of Asia-Pacific and Japan at Wipro Limited, said the company will offer customers in Australia the ability to leverage their global experience, technical expertise, and strategic cyber investments to protect their digital operations.
