‘No vax, no work policy’ illegal – DOLE
Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III said that the department will issue an advisory regarding the “no vaccination, no work” policy of some companies.
Bello said that requiring vaccination for work “will be declared illegal,” as “nobody can be forced to undergo vaccination without his or her consent.” He further urged employees to report companies that are requiring employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before returning to work.
However, the labor secretary urged Filipinos to get vaccinated. “I’m asking our fellow Filipinos to get vaccinated once the vaccines are available. The best way for us to ensure our return to normalcy,” he added.
