Additional 1M Sinovac vaccines to be delivered by month-end
The Philippines will be expecting to receive an additional one million doses of China’s Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine “by March 21 and onwards,” as the parties’ representatives signed the deal to secure the doses yesterday.
Sinovac has already sent an initial 600,000-dose shipment, which were donated by the Chinese government. Aside from this donation, appointed vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the Philippines has reached an agreement to secure 25 million doses of Sinovac.
Galvez said that the government will request for two million doses by April, three million doses by May, and five million doses in June and August.
