PH seeks to finish HCW vaccinations in May, start on other sectors next month
Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. said the government is now looking to expedite the vaccination of healthcare workers (HCWs), as they’ve now received the supply of 1.1 million doses of Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines.
The government targets to finish HCWs vaccination by May, then they’ll expand the vaccination program to the other sectors by next month.
Galvez said that the government will deploy 240,720 doses in priority areas this week. So far, they have deployed 54,500 AstraZeneca doses and 317,250 doses of Sinovac.
