BPOs expected to further expand outside NCR

The Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry in the Philippines is expected to further expand its operations and take up office spaces outside the National Capital Region (NCR), according to a recent research by real-estate consulting firm PRIME Philippines.
The study noted that with the capital already crowded and several infrastructure projects appearing in Metro Manila’s adjacent cities, more developers are also forecasted to increase their investments in key provinces.
LIMA Land Inc. is starting to build its 30-hectare commercial area and central business district (CBD) in Batangas. With the first building of its seven-tower office complex, LIMA Tower One, set to break ground later this year.
Rafael Fernandez de Mesa, first vice president for Aboitiz Integrated Economic Centers, said that they “are excited to get started on our seven-tower office complex, which will further spur much-needed economic activity and employment opportunities in the countryside post-pandemic. “
Fernandez de Mesa added that this latest expansion is a “fitting next step” as they plan to drive the growth of Batangas through their “world-class development.”
