PH economy grew by 11.8% in Q2

The Philippine economy has come out of recession with a recorded 11.8% growth in the second quarter of 2021, according to the latest data released by Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
During a press briefing, National Statistician Dennis Mapa announced that the April to June economic growth reversed the 3.9% slump recorded in the first quarter of the year.
This latest data has met the “double-digit growth” economic teams and analysts have forecasted.
An earlier CNN Philippines poll has revealed that 14 economists expect an average of 10.03% growth projection, with a 17% nosedive as an extremely low denominator for Q2’s economic rating.
