UAE welcomes first woman to launch a BPO firm
Emirati entrepreneur Maryam Al Nuaimi is the first woman to establish a company in UAE’s (United Arab Emirates) Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry.
Nuaimi, founder and president at Tafaseel Group, has explored the healthcare, information technology, and customer service sectors over the past nine years while starting a variety of businesses under her organization.
In an exclusive interview with Arabian Business, Nuaimi shared her journey in obtaining her clients’ trust saying that during meetings, “they were surprised to see an Emirati woman in a meeting talking about call centers and its technologies, assuming I’m an engineer or I studied technology.”
Nuaimi added that “The real challenge was the questions and comments around me. Questioning my choice like: ‘Why did you choose this industry?”
Under Nuaimi’s leadership, Tafaseel has grown to establish centers located in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, and Fujairah. The firm is currently preparing to fully launch “Rannah”, their new customer service product.
