Menzies taps Wipro to transform air cargo services

BANGALORE, INDIA — Outsourcing firm Wipro Limited announced it had been tapped by Menzies Aviation, the world’s largest aviation services company, to revamp its air cargo services.
Wipro recently developed a revolutionary cargo-handling product that was designed using cloud-native technologies to improve business efficiency and customer experience.
The product will be employed under the partnership that aims to accelerate Menzie’s competitive advantage as a leading cargo handler in the market.
“At Menzies, we are committed to investing in innovative solutions, such as our recently launched robotic inventory checks and digitalization of flight packs, and Wipro’s platform will ensure we can utilize cutting-edge systems and products in the years ahead,” said Robert Fordree, Menzies Aviation Executive Vice President for Cargo.
Menzies, which services over 250 airports in 58 countries, will initially roll out the Wipro product to five air cargo locations in Bucharest in Romania; Wellington, Christchurch, and Auckland in New Zealand; and Macau in China this year.
