Qualfon targets rapid hiring in Johnstown

PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES — Call center firm Qualfon is seeking to boost its workforce in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, especially after substantial layoffs at the start of this year.
Despite projecting to hire 400 employees in February, the company reported layoffs of over 200 staff by March, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
But with a new partnership secured with network operator T-Mobile last May, Qualfon announced its readiness to ramp up recruitment.
Stacey Lacovitch, Qualfon Operations Manager, noted the Johnstown site’s success in telecommunication sales has prompted T-Mobile to consider expanding their partnership with Qualfon in Johnstown.
Devlin Herring, Qualfon Sales Manager, stated that while they currently employ about 75 people in Johnstown, they aim to boost that number to over 100 soon and hope to reach 150 by early next year.
To support this hiring surge, the company will host several recruitment events, including “Walk-In Wednesday,” where potential hires can directly visit their Broad Street office to learn more about job opportunities.
