Cognizant inks tech deal with McCormick

NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES — Outsourcing firm Cognizant has secured a major infrastructure agreement with McCormick & Company, Inc., a renowned leader in the flavor industry.
The five-year deal aims to transform and manage McCormick’s global technology infrastructure across 150 countries and territories.

The new agreement is expected to deliver predictable business outcomes powered by AI-automated tools.
Through Cognizant, McCormick expects to integrate new capabilities such as self-service capabilities, improved service productivity, and significant cost savings.
These cutting-edge services are expected to provide best-in-class user experiences for McCormick’s approximately 13,000 employees spread across more than 80 global sites, accelerating the company’s digital transformation pace.

Cognizant’s expanding partnerships in retail and cloud
Cognizant’s pact with McCormick follows its recent agreement with e-commerce platform Shopify and tech firm Google Cloud.
The alliance aims to combine the strengths of Shopify’s leading commerce platform, Google Cloud’s core cloud infrastructure, and Cognizant’s retail technology expertise.
The joint offering will enable retailers to provide more personalized customer experiences, scale operations globally, and modernize their commerce platforms.
By utilizing Shopify’s commerce operating system built on Google Cloud, along with Google Cloud’s suite of offerings, retail brands will have the necessary technology needed for Cognizant to modernize their digital systems.
