Izertis acquires ACKstorm, SADE to drive global growth

Izertis acquires ACKstorm, SADE to drive global growth

ASTURIAS, BARCELONA and MADRID, SPAIN — Spanish technology consultancy Izertis has completed its first two acquisitions of 2026, bringing Catalan cloud-native specialist ACKstorm and Madrid-based IT consultancy SADE under its umbrella as part of a broader push to expand internationally and deepen its footprint in high-demand sectors.

According to a company press release, the twin deals form part of Izertis’ Business Plan 2030, a roadmap that combines organic and inorganic expansion.

ACKstorm strengthens Izertis’ cloud modernization and managed services capabilities, while SADE deepens its position in industrial and energy verticals tied to critical infrastructure and the energy transition.

Pablo Martín, chairman and CEO of Izertis, said the transactions bring “strategic clients, strengthening market confidence and fostering long-term relationships” across industry, energy, insurance and financial services.

Cloud-native muscle through ACKstorm

Founded in Barcelona in 2002, ACKstorm ranks among the top 15 firms globally within the partnership programs of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud

The company holds Premier Services Partner and Managed Service Provider accreditations with both hyperscalers, serving clients across banking, energy, retail, healthcare, telecommunications and the public sector.

ACKstorm closed 2025 with revenues of €16 million (US$18.8 million) and employs roughly 50 professionals across offices in Barcelona and Madrid. Its value proposition is built on cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes and open source.

Fernando Benito, CEO of ACKstorm, said joining Izertis allows the firm to “scale our model, expand our reach and deliver even greater value.”

SADE adds industrial and energy depth

SADE Consultoría Técnica, founded in 2003 and headquartered in Madrid, operates as a Microsoft ecosystem partner with more than 15 years of experience serving Oil & Gas, gas distribution and petrochemical clients. The firm reported revenues of €4.11 million (US$4.83 million) in 2025 and allocated more than 30% of its activity to innovation.

Iván Gallardo, CEO of SADE, described the integration as “the beginning of a new phase of growth and consolidation” for the consultancy, adding that the move will help accelerate development and broaden its service lines.

Dealmaking surge reflects shift in outsourcing demand

The twin acquisitions mirror a wider consolidation trend across the global outsourcing and IT services industry, where mid-sized consultancies are pairing up to keep pace with accelerating demand for hyperscaler-certified cloud expertise and vertical-specific domain knowledge.

Buyers increasingly favor partners that blend deep cloud engineering talent with sector fluency — a combination difficult to build organically. For regional players like Izertis, bolt-on deals offer a faster path to international relevance while insulating clients from the commoditization pressures reshaping lower-end outsourcing work.
