Axtria acquires Conexus to unify AI, CRM in life sciences

NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES — Axtria is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) footprint in the life sciences sector with the acquisition of Conexus Solutions, a move aimed at merging customer relationship management (CRM) execution with AI-driven commercialization tools.
According to a press release, the deal positions Axtria to deliver an integrated platform linking customer engagement systems with advanced intelligence capabilities across the pharmaceutical value chain.
AI meets CRM in life sciences transformation
Axtria, a global AI-first data analytics company focused on life sciences, announced the acquisition of Conexus Solutions, a firm known for CRM transformation across the Veeva and Salesforce ecosystems.
The combined business is expected to strengthen end-to-end commercialization capabilities by uniting data, analytics, and customer engagement in a single framework.
With the acquisition, Axtria said it is making “a decisive entry into end-to-end CRM, combining one of the industry’s most trusted CRM practices with its market-leading agentic AI platform,” according to the company.
The goal is to build what it calls a “unified intelligence layer connecting systems of engagement with systems of intelligence, from data foundation to field execution to patient impact.”
Axtria framed the move as a structural response to long-standing inefficiencies in life sciences operations, where CRM systems often function as disconnected transactional tools rather than intelligence-driven platforms.
“This is not incremental. This is the convergence the industry has been waiting for,” the company said in its statement.
Bridging fragmented commercial and R&D systems
The life sciences industry is facing mounting pressure from shorter drug revenue cycles, rising demand for specialty therapies, and stricter payer expectations for outcomes-based evidence.
Against this backdrop, Axtria argues that companies need tighter integration between commercial, quality, and R&D functions.
Conexus brings deep CRM execution capabilities, including expertise in Veeva and Salesforce ecosystems, alongside managed services and advisory strengths.
Axtria contributes its AI portfolio, including SalesIQ, CustomerIQ, MarketingIQ, and DataMAx, which are designed to support predictive analytics, next-best-action recommendations, and enterprise orchestration.
Together, the companies aim to reduce fragmentation across the commercialization stack and enable real-time decision-making powered by AI.
Leadership sees convergence as industry turning point
Axtria President and CEO Jassi Chadha described the deal as a strategic milestone, saying the combined company is “uniquely positioned to bridge systems of engagement with systems of intelligence, delivering integrated, outcome-driven solutions to our clients.”
Conexus founder and CEO Akshay Kapadia emphasized continuity for customers, noting that clients will continue to receive “the same trusted service while gaining access to Axtria’s broader capabilities over time.”
The integration highlights a broader trend in outsourcing and life sciences services, where vendors are moving beyond point solutions toward vertically integrated, AI-enabled platforms.
For the outsourcing industry, the deal underscores a shift from labor- and service-based CRM support toward higher-value models that embed intelligence directly into operational workflows.
As global pharma companies push for efficiency and real-time insights, providers that combine domain expertise with scalable AI platforms are likely to gain a competitive edge in an increasingly consolidated market.
