Kelly names Alan Stukalsky chief product, tech officer

MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES — Kelly Services has appointed Alan Stukalsky as its first Chief Product and Technology Officer in a newly created role placing technology strategy, product development, and digital innovation under a single executive for the first time.

According to a press release, Stukalsky brings 25-plus years of technology leadership experience, most recently as Chief Digital and Information Officer at LHH, the Adecco Group’s talent and career solutions arm.

New CPTO role centralizes AI and product strategy

Kelly Services, founded in 1946, generated $4.3 billion in 2024 revenue and connects more than 400,000 people with employment annually across its portfolio of specialty staffing and workforce solutions businesses.

Stukalsky reports to CEO Chris Layden and will oversee product strategy, technology capabilities, and digital innovation across Kelly’s specialty businesses. The appointment creates a unified technology and product leadership structure at a company navigating the AI-driven transformation of workforce solutions.

“The workforce solutions industry is at an inflection point. Companies who successfully embed AI into their operations to better serve clients and candidates are going to pull away from the field,” said Chris Layden, CEO of Kelly Services.

Stukalsky brings Randstad and LHH technology leadership depth

Before joining Kelly, Stukalsky served as Chief Digital and Information Officer at LHH, the Adecco Group’s talent and career development arm, where he oversaw technology and digital strategy.

Prior to LHH, he spent 16-plus years at Randstad as Chief Digital Officer and Chief Information Officer for North America. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and mathematics from Emory University, and was named Georgia CIO of the Year for Large Enterprises.

“This is an exciting time to join Kelly. The company is investing in the technology and products that will define how it competes in an AI-driven market,” said Alan Stukalsky, incoming Chief Product and Technology Officer at Kelly Services.

The appointment reflects a trend across large staffing firms: as AI reshapes talent placement and workforce management, companies are building dedicated technology executive roles to drive differentiation.

For the outsourcing and BPO market, AI-enabled staffing platforms are becoming core delivery infrastructure — reshaping how enterprises source, place, and retain offshore workforces. Kelly’s $4.3 billion annual footprint and 400,000-person placement reach give Stukalsky a significant and immediate platform to test AI-driven workforce tools at scale.
