Zyter acquires InformedDNA’s Genetic UM business

MARYLAND, UNITED STATES — Zyter, a health technology firm and subsidiary of Infinite, acquired InformedDNA’s Genetic Testing Utilization Management (GTUM) business unit, which advises health plans on the clinical suitability of genetic tests.

The deal is InformedDNA’s second divestiture of 2026 and allows the company to sharpen its focus on DNAimpact, its precision health platform. No deal value was disclosed.

Zyter expands genetic testing oversight into its platform

Zyter, a health technology subsidiary of global technology company Infinite, provides telehealth, remote patient monitoring, care management, and population health management to health plans and providers through its Zyter|TruCare platform.

Zyter said the GTUM acquisition extends its utilization management capabilities to cover genetic testing oversight, adding genetics-trained specialists and evidence-based clinical review to its existing payer-focused health management portfolio.

InformedDNA’s second divestiture sharpens focus on DNAimpact

InformedDNA, a portfolio company of Truehelm and QHP Capital, completed the sale of its Payment Integrity business unit in May 2026 before announcing the GTUM divestiture to Zyter.

The two sales concentrate investment and development resources on DNAimpact, InformedDNA’s precision health platform for personalized genetic medicine.

Both divestitures represent a deliberate strategy to strip non-core business units and concentrate InformedDNA’s clinical expertise on genetics-based precision health as its primary commercial focus.

“After deciding to sharpen InformedDNA’s focus on using genetic testing for precision health, Arcadia brought our board sharp strategic thinking and disciplined execution to get it done,” said Conor Green, partner at Truehelm.

The transaction signals growing demand among health technology firms for genetics-informed utilization management as health plans face increasing pressure to contain spending on genetic tests, which have expanded from rare disease screening into oncology, pharmacogenomics, and preventive care.

Zyter’s GTUM acquisition follows its 2021 purchase of Casenet and continues a strategy of building payer-facing health management services across multiple clinical categories.

For the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector, the deal illustrates how payer-side clinical support functions are becoming discrete acquisition targets as health technology platforms compete to offer integrated administrative and clinical decision support to health plans.

Among healthcare outsourcing technology companies, GTUM-type capabilities, which sit at the intersection of clinical genetics expertise and health plan cost management, represent a rare and increasingly sought-after service asset.
