Accenture completes Vocatus acquisition

MUNICH, GERMANY — Outsourcing firm Accenture has completed its purchase of Vocatus, an international market research and management consulting firm specializing in behavioral economics-based pricing strategies.
Previously announced last month, the terms of the deal were not disclosed. 50 workers from Vocatus will move to Accenture’s Corporate Strategy, Growth, and Pricing Strategy team.
Founded in 2000 in Munich, Germany, Vocatus provides decision analysis, price optimization, customer satisfaction, and employee commitment projects. Crunchbase estimates the company’s revenue to be between $1 million and $10 million.
Vocatus groups consumers into GRIPS: bargain hunter, price accepter, risk avoider, routine buyer, and indifferent buyer. Using this framework, businesses can understand their customers better and tailor the right business strategy and pricing models.
Accenture can now leverage Vocatus’ expertise in utilizing behavioral economics to craft pricing strategies and sales concepts for business-to-business and business-to-consumer models. Through Vocatus, Accenture’s modeling capabilities for its European clients will receive a boost.
Accenture ranked #1 in the 2023 Time Doctor OA500, the first objective index of the world’s top 500 outsourcing companies. The 2024 edition of the OA500 will be released next month.
