Momentum buys Horizon, fortifies global managed services

GEORGIA, UNITED STATES — Momentum Telecom (Momentum), a provider of managed cloud services, has sealed its acquisition of Horizon Telecom, a Netherlands-based global next-gen managed service provider.
The deal boosts Momentum’s suite of modern workplace services. With Horizon Telecom under its wing, it can now offer a resilient customer migration process for enterprise voice, Microsoft Teams, SD-WAN, and managed network solutions.
Momentum will also fortify its position in the communications space, as Horizon Telecom provides public switched telephone network (PSTN) replacement services in 72 countries and number availability in over 150 countries.

Horizon Telecom is Momentum’s fourth purchase since 2021. In 2023, it acquired cloud-based provider G12 Communications and telecommunications firm Asset Black. In 2021, Momentum acquired information technology firm Altus Technology.
Momentum has also added several companies under its portfolio: CommPartners in 2011, IBBS in 2014, Alteva in 2015, CloudNet Group in 2018, and DCT Telecom in 2019.
