Atento marks reopening in Puerto Rico with tech investment

Spanish Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) services provider Atento recently marked its reopening in Caguas, Puerto Rico by investing in technology that’s projected to grow its workforce by 15 per cent by year-end.
Mid-2020 Atento closed its operations in Puerto Rico during the thick of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Atento’s 53,000 square foot facility will dispense a wide array of services that includes customer service, sales, technical support, credit origination, and back office services through multiple mediums, such as voice, chat, websites, and digital applications,” company officials said.
Atento’s $9 million renovation of its delivery facility is seen to strengthen its workforce. While the company implements a hybrid work arrangement, the facility serves as a hybrid office monitoring and supporting hundred of home-based agents scattered around Puerto Rico.
From its Caguas site, Atento will offer customer service, sales, technical support, credit management, and back office services through telephone, chat, social media, and digital app channels.
