- Automation Anywhere agreed to buy conversational AI firm Boost.ai from Nordic Capital.
- The deal is expected to close in Q4 2026.
- Boost.ai supports more than 36 languages and serves regulated industries.
- It is Automation Anywhere’s second AI acquisition in a year, after Aisera.
CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES — Automation Anywhere is moving from back-office automation into the customer conversation, agreeing to buy conversational and voice AI company Boost.ai from Nordic Capital. The deal is meant to let AI take a customer’s request and carry it all the way through to completion in back-end systems.
From the call to the completed task
Boost.ai serves hundreds of organizations, with particular strength in Europe and in regulated industries such as financial services, telecommunications and insurance, according to an Automation Anywhere announcement on Oct. 7. Its platform supports more than 36 languages and reaches a resolution rate of more than 90% in production deployments, the company said.
“Every enterprise runs on three kinds of work: serving customers, supporting employees, and running the business. Most run in isolation,” said Mihir Shukla, CEO and chairman of Automation Anywhere. The company wants to connect all three, so that work started in a customer conversation flows into middle- and back-office execution.
The purchase is Automation Anywhere’s second AI acquisition in a year, following Aisera in late 2025, which added automated employee service. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
Voice AI for regulated work
“Boost.ai’s deep expertise in regulated industries has proven that conversational and voice AI can operate at enterprise scale with the reliability, compliance, and governance that regulated industries require,” said Jerry Haywood, CEO of Boost.ai. Its customers include Nordea, DNB, Sage and Trading 212.
Automation Anywhere said AI bookings have made up nearly 70% of its new and upsell bookings over the past six quarters. “The real transformation from AI will come when enterprises stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes,” said co-founder and COO Ankur Kothari.
For buyers, the deal points to software vendors offering to handle full customer journeys that companies now split between a contact center partner and separate automation tools. Teams evaluating conversational AI should ask how handoffs to human agents work and who owns the outcome when an automated process fails.
