BPO sector provides in-demand jobs amid pandemic
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) identified the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector as one of the current in-demand and resilient jobs providers amid pandemic. The sector was joined by health and construction industries.
DOLE Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said in-demand jobs under the BPO sector are information technology (IT), customer service representatives, programmers, encoders as well as App and game developers.
During the Laging Handa press briefing, Tutay said, “We have many vacancies posted in our TNK (Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan) website.” TNK is DOLE’s online platform that seeks to provide employment opportunities and entrepreneurial options to all types of jobseekers.
