Convergys concludes its biggest get-together BPO event in Cebu
About 9,000 Convergys Cebu employees, along with their friends and families, took a break from their daily work duties and gathered for an entire day to celebrate what has now become the biggest BPO social event in Cebu. Now in its 6th year, the event, called YOUnified Hugyaw 2018 was the conclusion to a six-week series of activities that aims to bring out the talent, teamwork and fellowship of the company’s employees. Convergys employs more than 12,000 people in Cebu. Jojo Reyes, Convergys Group Vice President of Operations said YOUnified Hugyaw has also become a great employee engagement initiative that is now being replicated in some of the company’s other sites in Manila and Bacolod. The company’s annual employee program is now the largest BPO event in Cebu, bringing together all the company’s employees and their families each year for the past six years, according to Reyes.
