Formix launches a Sri Lanka BPO talent push

COLOMBO, SRI LANKA — Formix has launched a workforce initiative to help international companies establish business process outsourcing (BPO) operations in Sri Lanka, covering workforce planning, executive search, and high-volume professional hiring, the company announced in August 2026.
The initiative draws on the company’s existing capabilities across executive search, professional recruitment, high-volume white-collar hiring, staffing solutions, and international workforce management.
Formix pairs executive search with volume hiring in one workforce model
The initiative draws on Formix’s existing capabilities across executive search, professional recruitment, high-volume white-collar hiring, staffing solutions, and international workforce management.
For a company entering a new market, Formix states that senior leadership appointments, including country managers, heads of operations, HR and recruitment managers, and training leads, must precede large-scale hiring, since an effective leadership structure is what enables volume recruitment to begin at pace.
The Formix C-Suite Circle and Formix HR Circle, both established independent of the new initiative, connect executives and HR professionals with recruitment expertise and international investors evaluating Sri Lanka as a BPO destination.
“The initiative is designed to provide businesses with workforce-focused guidance before and during the setup process, helping international BPO operators understand the available talent resources and how they can build teams in Sri Lanka,” Formix said.
Multilingual sourcing targets English, Hindi, and Japanese-capable professionals
Formix targets multilingual professional talent as a key element of the initiative, with English, Hindi, and Japanese-capable candidates among the language pools it aims to develop for international BPO clients.
The company operates across more than 150 countries, offering executive search, staffing, remote and offshore staffing, and employer of record services alongside the newly launched Sri Lanka-focused workforce program.
No client engagements have been announced as part of the newly launched initiative; Formix describes the current phase as focused on investor discovery and helping companies evaluate Sri Lanka’s talent market before committing to entry.
“Connecting international businesses with Sri Lankan talent creates value on both sides: international companies gain access to a skilled workforce, while Sri Lankan professionals gain opportunities to work with global organizations,” Formix said.
For international companies evaluating Sri Lanka for call center, customer experience, or shared-service delivery, the initiative addresses the intelligence gap that typically slows market entry: understanding salary expectations, management talent availability, language capability, and scalability before committing to an investment.
Formix’s employer of record and staffing capabilities extend the workforce model beyond direct recruitment to provide end-to-end setup support for incoming outsourcing investors.
The company’s international workforce reach means operators can extend a Sri Lanka-anchored BPO strategy across additional markets if client requirements expand beyond the initial delivery location.
