IKG Philippines Plans Partnership With Big Telecom Firms

Internet Keeper Global (IKG) Philippines plans to team up with big Philippine telecom companies to establish a large presence in the local market. Mary Gold Sy, senior business development manager at IKG Philippines, said the local subsidiary of Hong Kong-based IKGlobal is eyeing PLDT Inc., Globe Telecom, Converge and Eastern Telecom. Meanwhile, Steven Yan, IKG Philippines CEO, said the company will enter the enterprise market to cater to BPO firms, systems integrators and Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs).
Yan also said that IKG Philippines will offer services as an internet service provider covering global data center resources, global network lines and internet protocol addresses, among others, and will also provide services and technologies to small and medium enterprises. He added that IKG Philippines will even offer financial leasing grants to entrepreneurs wishing to digitize and automate their operations. Yan noted that IKG decided to expand in the Philippines as the country is one of the world’s top internet users. IKGlobal Inc. has a presence in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
