Indian airport partners with IBM
India’s third-largest airport Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) has signed with IBM to digitize its international airport operations.
A statement from BIAL said, “We have entered into a 10-year partnership with IBM’s global business services arm to digitize our IT network for operating the Kempegowda airport.”
The tech giant will develop “an airport in a box platform” to revolutionize the passengers’ travel experience with the help of its infrastructure services entity Kyndryl and IT platform Red Hat automation.
IBM services Vice President Mark Foster stated, “The project capitalizes on our ability to deliver advanced technologies and services that enable airport operators to transform their business.”
