Indian IT firm to hire 4,500 graduates this year

Indian IT firm Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) plans to hire 4,500 new graduates this year, according to CEO and MD Sanjay Jalona.
Jalona emphasized the company’s investment in employing local professionals and the construction of development centers in India. He said, “We have done acquisitions too which helped us find more people in Europe and the US.”
LTI’s revenue over the past five years has been increasing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.5%. The company’s net profit grew 19.13% for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2022 to Rs 496.3 crore (approximately US$ 66million), though it declined by 8.97% on a quarter-on-quarter basis.
