Infosys, Google Cloud partner on AI
BENGALURU, INDIA — Infosys announced an expanded alliance with Google Cloud to help companies build artificial intelligence (AI) experiences using Infosys Topaz and Google Cloud’s generative AI.
As part of the collaboration, Infosys will create global Generative AI Labs to develop industry-specific AI solutions to infuse generative AI into business processes.
The company will also train 20,000 practitioners on Google Cloud’s AI like Vertex AI and Google Workspace’s Duet AI for professional services expertise to develop, implement and manage generative AI projects.
This builds on Infosys’ data, analytics and AI work with Google Cloud. Infosys is developing AI platforms and solutions for Consumer AI, supply chain, marketing, anti-money laundering and customer service.
Many Infosys platforms are being enhanced with Infosys Topaz and Google Cloud’s generative AI – like Infosys Live Enterprise Application Management, Applied AI Platform, Customer Intelligence Platform, Data Streams and Supply Chain AI Platform.
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh said Infosys has long invested in AI and is leveraging generative AI for solutions and offerings to boost productivity.
“The combined strength of Google Cloud’s generative AI capabilities, Infosys Cobalt, and Infosys Topaz will help enterprises transform and future-proof their business, built on strong digital, cloud, and next-generation AI capabilities,” he added.
Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said generative AI is changing business operations like supply chain and marketing.
“Through our expanded partnership with Infosys, we will give our mutual customers the resources and skills needed to use generative AI today to create real-world value for their organizations,” Kurian said.
Infosys is a global leader with over 40 years of experience in next-generation digital services and consulting. With operations in more than 56 countries, Infosys generated revenues of US$7.7 billion in Q2 FY24.
