Infosys partners with Microsoft for launch of cyber next online security service

Infosys has launched a new service designed to help organizations weather online assaults on the integrity of their systems – Cyber Next. According to the Bangalore- headquartered digital outsourcing specialist, the resource could play a key role in helping businesses and other data-driven entities improve their security monitoring, as well as their threat detection, management and response services.
Powered by Microsoft Azure Sentinel – a cloud-native Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) tool that detects, prevents and responds to data threats – Cyber Next is said to co-ordinate a suite of managed security solutions, including round-the-clock monitoring, lifecycle management and incident investigation. Outlining the benefits of the system, Vishal Salvi, Infosys’ CISO and head of CyberSecurity Practice, said, as a next-generation platform-based resource, it would allow customers to streamline their security arrangements and could easily be scaled in line with any future expansion.
Commenting on the potential of this new partnership, meanwhile, Ann Johnson, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Cybersecurity Solutions Group, said combining the strengths of the Microsoft security portfolio with the Infosys service offering will ensure enterprises can better manage their security protocols, while the AI-enabled system would ensure they could safely navigate the ever-changing threat landscape.
