Major players in the Philippines’ IT-BPM industry have recently concluded the two-day International Innovation Summit (IIS) 2018, themed ‘Human + Tech: Philippines’ Capitalizing on Digital Disruption’. The event, held at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, played host to discussions on the global trends and developments shaping the IT-BPM industry’s present and future. The IIS also promoted the exchange of ideas between the entire IT-BPM community and its key enablers from across the spectrum to discuss how the country is embracing the Human+Tech evolution. The international event featured 21 plenary and breakout sessions and world-class speakers. The two-day event was opened by an address from Senator Juan Edgardo Angara, a staunch political advocate for the country’s IT-BPM industry. The IIS 2018 aims to discuss global trends and developments shaping the future of the Philippine information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry. Held from November 12 to 13, 2018 in Taguig City, the summit is also seen as a platform for the entire IT-BPM community and key enablers to exchange ideas on issues relevant to the sector.
