JDC to open flagship green building in Cebu in 2020
JEG Development Corp. (JDC), a Cebu-based real estate developer, announced that it is nearing completion of its flagship green tower project in Cebu that will open in the first quarter of next year. JEG Tower @ One Acacia will have 22 floors and will offer both office and commercial spaces. While a number of unnamed potential tenants have reportedly expressed interest, Stefan Garcia, JDC estate manager and business development chief, said the tower will also cater to firms from the BPO industry.
He explained that as the BPO sector is expected to expand in locations outside Metro Manila, they have to be prepared for this and are currently in the process of registering to become a member of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority. The tower received a silver certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Comparable to a Grade A building in Manila, it is being built using sustainable materials. According to JDC, they are looking to expand outside Cebu in the future.
