Jobstreet cites BPO among top hiring industries
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Online job posting platform JobStreet cited business process outsourcing (BPO) alongside education, and administrative work as the top in-demand roles today.
According to JobStreet, the following are the top 10 jobs with highest posting on the platform:
- customer service representatives
- teachers
- administrative officers
- call center operators
- nurses
- software engineers
- team leaders
- business analysts
- sales associates
- engineers
Meanwhile, these are the top industries that are hiring the most:
- call centers/IT-enabled services/BPOs
- human resources management/consulting
- education
- retail/merchandise
- government/defense
- computer/IT-software
- manufacturing/production
- electrical and electronics
- banking/financial services
- construction/building/engineering
“We’re expecting more job opportunities coming in the next few months, especially now that things are going back to normal and going more digital,” said Philip Gioca, country manager of JobStreet Philippines.
“Likewise, competition among talents is tougher, so job seekers are encouraged to learn new skills and tools, rehearse for interviews and put their best foot forward,” he added.
Based on a recent JobStreet survey, optimism for the Philippine job market also increased, with improved employer sentiments for the first six months of 2023.
