KMC, Regus To Further Expand In Philippines

Flexible workspace providers KMC Solutions and Regus are planning to further expand in the Philippines due to the rising demand for flexible office spaces. KMC said it will build new sites at Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Cebu, Clark and Ortigas to grow its Philippine office space portfolio to 11,157 seats. Cebu will see the largest expansion with 970 seats at Cebu IT Park, including breakout areas, open event spaces and 24/7 onsite IT support, KMC said.
Michael McCollough, KMC cofounder, said their Cebu expansion aims to transform the city into an international business hub. Meanwhile, Regus is opting for franchising to raise new investment opportunities and will hold a franchise roadshow to seek potential partners.
Lars Wittig, vice president for sales in Southeast Asia, Taiwan and South Korea at International Workplace Group (IWG), said they plan to expand outside the metro areas in other locations of the country as the serviced office sector has the potential to grow outside mature major cities into regional and provincial markets.
