Microsoft, Accenture form 45,000-strong team

Microsoft and Accenture have teamed up to create a new service called the Accenture Microsoft Business Group. The new team, which was formed this week, will employ more than 45,000 professionals to work on joint products and services built for the Microsoft cloud. The rationale behind the group’s creation is to provide services that engage customers in new ways, as well as to help in developing new products and services with a focus on digital transformation using the cloud.
The focus will be on how the user experience can be developed and presented; analytics; artificial intelligence; security, and the Internet of Things. For new clients, the group will also assist them migrating to Microsoft Azure and then optimizing Microsoft business processes with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365. Microsoft and Accenture have collaborated on projects before such as in offering cyberdefense solutions and building a digital identification network using blockchain.
