Paraguay eyes 32% contact center growth in 2023

ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY — Forecasts indicate a 32% growth for Paraguay’s contact center and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector by the end of 2023.
The country’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) noted the sector’s increasing significance in the national economy after it posted a 26% growth in the previous year.
Building on this momentum, the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) has recently inked a partnership with the Paraguayan Chamber of Contact Center & BPO (CAPACC) to bolster the country’s service outsourcing sector. This partnership follows a successful REDIEX initiative that put the outsourcing industry on the map in Chile, Argentina, and Spain, reaching over 5.6 million individuals.
CAPACC President Oscar Piris highlighted Paraguay’s leverage from its strategic position and legislative strengths in the outsourcing landscape. Located centrally in South America, the country is primed as a round-the-clock customer service destination, backed by a skilled, bilingual talent pool and competitive wages.
“Working with Rediex is very important because it allows developing strategies to carry the country brand, consolidating the process started in 2022,” he added.
Paraguay’s contact center services are mostly sought after in finance, telecom, and cooperatives. Newcomers like insurance and retail are also making an appearance. The services include data analytics, automation, and a holistic customer experience.
Key BPO players in Paraguay, such as Atento, Teleperformance, Alorica, and Majoreal, are predominantly based in Asunción.
