Prodapt invests $7Mn to expand Panama operations

PANAMA CITY — Indian IT services company Prodapt is expanding its footprint in Panama with a US$7 million investment.

The move will create about 500 jobs in the fields of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and technical support while solidifying its nearshoring advantage in the region.

“Prodapt is the first India-headquartered technology services and consulting firm to set up operations in Panama. By leveraging the skilled workforce and conducive business environment in the country, we have scaled its operations several times over the last two years,” said Prodapt CEO Harsha Kumar.

Initially launched as a modest six-seater setup, Prodapt’s Panamanian branch has grown to house 200 technology and domain experts over the past two years.

Prodapt’s expansion aims to improve its services for American clients by utilizing the unique multilingual capabilities and time zone compatibility that a nearshore center offers. It further positions the Panamanian center to anchor all Latin American businesses, contributing approximately 15% to Prodapt’s annual revenues.

“I am happy to learn that Indian IT company Prodapt is enhancing its operations in Panama. Prodapt works with many major enterprises and employs over 6000 technology and domain experts in over 30 countries across the globe,” said Upender Singh Rawat, Ambassador of India to Panama.

With a workforce spread across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, Prodapt works with big firms such as Meta, Google, Amazon, AT&T, Verizon, and Vodafone, to name a few.

Prodapt is part of The Jhaver Group, a 128-year-old business conglomerate, which employs over 30,000 people across more than 80 global locations.
