Soprano Design acquires Hello Technology
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Australian communication technology company Soprano Design announced it had completely acquired Singapore-based Hello Technology for an undisclosed amount.
Hello Technology is a mobile messaging solutions company enabling businesses to automate customer communications. The firm has expertise in Application to Person (A2P) messaging services and enterprise and carrier-grade Short Message Service (SMS) connectivity.
“This significant acquisition ensures Soprano continues to unleash the communication potential of our enterprise and government customers using the best mobile and AI communications technology,” explained Soprano Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Favero.
The acquisition positions Soprano as one of the top 10 communications platform-as-a-service (CPaaS) leaders. The move also enhances Soprano’s capabilities to assure data security in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. More than 70% of Soprano’s business is conducted outside Australia, Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.
“Soprano is now even better positioned to meet the increasing demand for innovative enterprise and government communication solutions and technology. This positive momentum is crucial at a time when meaningful engagement and trusted mobile interactions have become an even more important form of currency for businesses around the world,” Favero added.
The addition of Hello Technology follows Soprano’s acquisition of Ubisend in the United Kingdom in 2022 and Silverstreet in Malaysia in 2020. The company says this is part of its ambitious growth strategy of investing in interactive messaging capabilities to help prepare for a future where personalized experiences are the norm.
Soprano is looking to acquire other businesses that align with its aim to deliver trusted mobile interactions to firms and governments.
