TCS to acquire Porsche’s MHP for $373Mn

MUMBAI, INDIA — Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on August 24, 2026, agreed to acquire MHP, Porsche’s management and information technology (IT) consulting unit, for US$373 million (€320 million) as part of a broader strategic alliance.
The deal includes a five-year services partnership valued at US$1.46 billion (€1.25 billion), covering TCS AI services across Porsche’s global operations.
TCS gains automotive consulting depth with MHP
TCS, India’s largest IT services company, advises enterprises on artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and managed services across automotive, financial services, and manufacturing sectors globally.
MHP, legally named MHP Management- und IT-Beratung, employs more than 4,500 professionals across automotive, energy, aerospace, and public sector consulting, specializing in business transformation, AI, and connected mobility.
“TCS is pleased to partner Porsche in its transformation journey. As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS’ capabilities in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP’s strong automotive consulting expertise.
Together, we will industrialise AI at scale for Porsche, accelerating innovation across the value chain to deliver intelligent, software-defined mobility experiences of the future,” said K Krithivasan, chief executive officer and managing director at TCS.
Porsche focuses on core automotive business post-divestiture
MHP will retain its brand and continue operating independently following the transaction, gaining access to TCS’s global delivery network and AI research resources.
The five-year services partnership alongside the acquisition gives TCS a guaranteed revenue stream from Porsche, reducing integration risk and giving MHP a stable, dedicated client anchor post-transaction.
“Porsche is taking another important step in its strategy to focus resolutely on its core business with the transfer of MHP to Tata Consultancy Services. At the same time, we are gaining a strategic partner in TCS,” said Michael Leiters, chief executive officer at Porsche.
“By combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities, we will further strengthen our innovative power, increase efficiency, and boost our competitiveness in an increasingly data and software-driven world of mobility,” Leiters added.
The acquisition gives TCS a foothold in European automotive consulting at a time when software-defined vehicles are reshaping industry demand for integrated IT and business transformation services.
For the business process outsourcing (BPO) and IT services sector, the deal signals that major Indian IT firms are willing to pay significant premiums for automotive consulting assets that carry guaranteed client relationships. MHP’s cross-sector reach into energy, aerospace, and public sector clients extends TCS’s European consulting platform beyond automotive, supporting broader client development across the region.
