TDCX opens Lisbon campus to fuel EMEA growth

- TDCX opened its third European campus, in central Lisbon
- TDCX employs 20,000-plus people across 38 global locations
- Lisbon adds English, German, French, and Dutch support
- A second Lisbon building is planned for 2027
LISBON, PORTUGAL — TDCX has opened a new campus in central Lisbon, establishing its third European delivery center and expanding its capacity for clients requiring English, German, French, and Dutch language support.
The Singapore-headquartered customer experience (CX) and outsourcing company, which operates more than 38 global locations, selected Portugal for its multilingual talent depth, mature digital infrastructure, and time zone alignment with London, continental Europe, and the east coast of North America.
Lisbon becomes TDCX’s third European delivery hub
TDCX employs more than 20,000 people at 38 global locations, serving clients across technology, digital platforms, gaming, software-as-a-service (SaaS), fintech, e-commerce, and travel and hospitality.
According to a report from Media Outreach, TDCX said Lisbon was chosen for the depth and breadth of its language talent pool, the country’s mature digital infrastructure, and a time zone that aligns delivery teams with London, continental Europe, and North America within a single working day.
“Portugal is exactly the kind of market where the future of European customer experience is being built. Opening in Lisbon reflects our conviction that clients want world-class talent, real-time collaboration, and AI-enabled delivery in one place,” said Laurent Junique, founder and chief executive officer at TDCX.
Language capabilities and EMEA sector positioning
Portugal ranked ninth globally on the EF English Proficiency Index, the highest non-native English fluency in Southern Europe, enabling the Lisbon campus to serve German, French, and Dutch alongside English-speaking markets.
The campus joins TDCX’s centers in Romania and Spain, forming a three-country footprint across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for nearshore outsourcing clients, with a second Lisbon building planned for 2027.
“Lisbon is not simply another delivery location, it is a pan-European talent magnet and that changes what we can offer clients across EMEA. Our clients are consolidating complex customer, sales and growth workflows with fewer, more capable partners, and they want Western European quality with real cost efficiency,” said Sophie Chelmick, executive vice president EMEA at TDCX.
Portugal’s EU membership, multilingual talent pipeline, and time zone overlap with Western European headquarters position Lisbon as an emerging delivery hub for technology, gaming, and customer experience mandates that require language fluency and geographic proximity.
For business process outsourcing (BPO) buyers evaluating top BPO companies, TDCX’s Lisbon campus illustrates how Southern Europe is establishing itself as a competitive nearshore alternative to South Asian delivery hubs for multilingual, digital-native accounts.
