Telecom provider Rewardsco invests in a new BPO facility

Telecommunications service provider Rewardsco is expanding its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operations into a third facility in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), South Africa.
According to the firm, the R300 million (US$16.4 million) investment will kickstart its move into international markets, starting with the United Kingdom (UK), North America, and Australia.
In an interview with Moneyweb, Rewardsco Group Commercial Director Dylan Koen said that the pandemic enabled the company to focus on key performance areas and further its expansion opportunities.
Koen says that the new Rewardsco campus, with its three operations centers joined by sky bridges, contributes to making the KZN more competitive in the BPO sector on a national scale.
As per the company itself, he forecasts that the group will have a growth trajectory of around 25% per annum over the next five years.
“Once the balance of the new facility is finished, it will bring the total number of employees to 3 200. And that’s just for the daytime shift,” Koen added.
Rewardsco currently has partnering opportunities with domestic customers and a few interested parties from North American businesses looking to outsource services to South Africa.
