InvesTT to promote ICT, BPO sectors in CIF 2022

Trinidad and Tobago’s investment promotion agency InvesTT will be showcasing the country’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industries in the upcoming Caribbean Investment Forum (CIF 2022).
Taking place from November 8 to 11, the CIF 2022 is a “high-level business-focused event” that allows businesses to engage with each other and local and international investors.
“The event falls squarely into the Agency’s mandate to support the Government’s economic diversification thrust through investment promotion and securing of investments,” said InvesTT President Sekou Alleyne.
Aside from ICT and BPO, InvesTT is planning to pitch its manufacturing, logistics and distribution, maritime services, renewable energy, and agribusiness industries to foreign investors.
Thus far, Alleyne confirmed that private sector representatives from 17 countries and 400 other participants would be present at the event. Thirteen investment promotion agencies from the Caribbean will also seek foreign direct investment at the forum.
The InvesTT President added that the CIF 2022 “is an excellent way for a foreign investor to view the Caribbean as a whole and recognize how regional linkages can add value to his/her business model.”
