Megaworld and vision BPO Hub
Megaworld Corp. lead by business tycoon Andrew Tan is preparing its township developments in Bacolod, Cebu, and Iloilo into the Visayas BPO triangle. A vision to bring 225,000 sqm of office space by 2020 to meet the growing demand. After its completion, Megaworld expects to produce 50,000 full-time BPO service jobs in the Visayas cities.
By next year, The Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu will have 80,000 sqm of office space with the opening of two additional office towers. The Pacific World Tower and One Plaza Magellan will add 34,000 sqm of office space upon completion.
In Iloilo Business Park, office space will reach 33,000 sqm after the three Techno Place, an office tower is completed. It is said to bring in 8,700 sqm of prime office space to the business park. Also, Festive Walk Office Tower and Two Techno Place are said to add 12,000 sqm and 10,000 sqm respectively.
According to Senior Vice President of Megaworld Jericho Go, the end of 2018 will be exciting the office space in the Iloilo Business Park will offer 65,000 sqm.
Megaworld, in Bacolod has started the land development to build offices at the 24 Hectare land in the upper eastern township that offers a total space of 30,000 sqm.
