SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Offshore staffing company Satellite Office has reached 2,000 employees, a milestone built from its 2013 start building dedicated teams in the Philippines for Australian and U.S. businesses.
The company said the milestone did not happen overnight or in a single country, but across time zones, cultures and years of work in the Philippines, Australia and the U.S.
A milestone built on client trust
“Reaching 2,000 employees is an incredible milestone, but what moves me most is what it represents,” said Michael McRitchie, Founder and CEO of Satellite Office.
McRitchie said the milestone was built on the trust of clients and the talent and dedication of the company’s team.
Satellite Office said it set out to build offshore teams that do not just work for client businesses but belong to them.
The company said offshore staffing has evolved beyond a cost play into a long-term talent strategy, as Australian and U.S. businesses face cost pressure and local talent shortages.
Why the Philippines
Satellite Office cited figures from the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) putting the sector’s target at $59 billion in revenue and 2.5 million full-time employees by 2028.
IBPAP’s latest roadmap preview puts its 2028 outlook at up to $50.5 billion and 2.14 million jobs.
The company also pointed to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) data showing more than 805,000 college graduates in academic year 2023-2024, and to the EF English Proficiency Index, which it said ranks the Philippines among the top two or three countries in Asia.
“2,000 is more than a headcount. It’s 2,000 families supported. 2,000 career journeys,” said Jeff Blake, chief operating officer.
Blake said the figure represents people who chose Satellite Office and whom the company is proud to call its own.
The company said it plans to deepen its presence in the Philippines and strengthen partnerships with businesses in Australia and the United States.
For businesses weighing offshore outsourcing, dedicated team models like this one assign full-time staff to a single client, a different setup from shared-seat business process outsourcing (BPO) work.
Buyers comparing providers on the top 40 BPO companies in the Philippines list can ask how each one supports team integration and retention.
Satellite Office is currently subscribed as an Outsource Accelerator (OA) BPO Partner. Through OA’s Marketing, Sales, and Source Partner Hubs, the firm accesses a unified growth platform designed to convert high-intent prospects and accelerate deal flow in the outsourcing industry.
